South on I-270 leads south to Gaithersburg, Rockville, and Bethesda towards D.C. and north to Frederick.
Just northwest of Germantown are some good outdoor attractions, especially Sugarloaf Mountain (http://sugarloafmd.com/)âthe Maryland Capital Region's favorite climb, with great views over the surrounding farmland, as well as Little Bennett Regional Park (http://montgomeryparks.or...), which has tent campgrounds.
